A Narrow Escape

His airway went from stifled to completely sealed before he could appropriately defend; his corner’s voices were fading off into the distance. 

For most, the anaconda choke he found himself in was all but a foregone conclusion; however, he opted to not buy into that narrative. Instead, he tucked his chin, reached for his opponent’s hands, and fought to unlock the vice around his neck. Scrambling from side to side, he cracked open an inch of breathing room; his corner’s instructions rushed into his ear. 

Seconds later, he escaped. Now, he just had to survive the next two rounds.
