An Eye for Talent

He was green—only a few pro fights under his belt—and full of hope that he’d leave a legacy in the sport.

While getting fitted for his gloves, some guy, who introduced himself as Salmon Fischer, wasted no time upon their first contact, vomiting his entire resume as a combat sports manager. The leather hadn’t even been laced up before Fischer was using horrific lines like, “I reel in all the talent,” as well as telling him, “I see a real future in you, kid.”

“Have you ever seen me fight?”

“Like I said, “I got an eye for this.”

Deep in the recesses of his mind, he could smell something was fishy about him when his hair never moved in the slightest; it would be a miracle in his journey as a mixed martial artist to never meet another con man.
