From the Gutter to Glitz & Glamour

He was born into a family where the basic food groups were wrestling scraps from the hands of siblings and the delicacy of his mom containing her control over the bottle long enough to get fresh groceries. 

So far, his career was denied nutrient-dense calories, coaching, and the taste of defeat. 

For his debut in The Big Show, he joined the area’s top team, forfeiting a percentage of his future purse. 

The nutritionist handed him a colorful plate.

“What are these?”

“Sweet potatoes.”

The meal made him feel as though he were at the end of a rainbow.
