A combination landed; he didn’t budge.
Coach suggested dragging the fight to the ground.
Just wanting a a win in their trash talk fueled grudge,
He thought: maybe I’ll try that in the next round.
But when the bell sounded, he ditched the plan;
Ego had taken hold, making a madman.
Insistent to punish, but he held sturdy;
Soon, he tires, overhead there’s a birdie.
