The Jiu-Jitsu practitioner slithering
Like a boa, stealing prey’s air with pressure.
Eager to learn, always want a refresher;
Humble by nature, brags sound like blithering;
Nobody’s lionized or they’re withering.
With the picture perfect partner on the mat,
There’s a slim chance that you won’t be improving;
Iron sharpens iron while both are grooving.
A tussling roll may not look like combat,
Till you’re removed from your feet and laid down flat.
