Gigi assembled her planners, her calendars, her pens, pouches, and post-its before her on the desk and stood over them like a general surveying maps. It was the first Saturday night in recent memory she had a date that wasn’t her author’s chair.
“We’re going to some fights. We’ll see…” she texted a friend.
The dressing up for a long overdue night out, lights, music, atmosphere, action, and being towed in hand by a hunk entered her veins, desperate for another hit once the evening ended.
Gigi returned to her writing desk, charged with new ideas and emotions.
