Hard Work vs. Luck

All he wanted was a change to strike luck;

Within the crosshairs of circumstance of time,

Four-leaf clovers, a rainbow’s end—but still stuck.

When the right door cracks, the feeling is sublime.

Defeat rains abuse like you’re a heavy bag;

Pump your chest out far, but there’s no need to brag.

He few who can’t leave history in the past

Will sense betrayal when it cycles back fast.
