The Write Fighter: Part 23

Gerald was jolly as the truck’s cab bounced along; his fingers wrapped around the wheel like wreaths.

“Good news,” Gerald opened, “The wife said I could go to the fights.”

“That’s cool she gave you permission,” Robert shot back with a smile. “But, seriously, if I get you in, please don’t cancel.”

Gerald then asked, “Did you hear MMA will be in the Olympics next year?”

“Nice! I was fixing my car and missed the announcement.” Robert also shared, “I’m starting Jiu-Jitsu lessons today.”

Robert observed the possibility of yet another escape from the house twinkle in Gerald’s eye.
