The cashier was annoyed at having to retrieve the part. Robert ignored the attitude, as he was focused on returning to Ayla before her mood shifted.
She was on her phone upon refilling the passenger seat. She’s gone, he thought.
To Robert’s surprise, she said, “Your social media numbers have been skyrocketing!”
On her screen, a fight Robert recently uploaded to his site’s WeWatch channel played.
“Any tips?”
But she already flipped into her own online world. Normally, defeat would wash over him, however, the miniature victories were rays of sunshine.
