The Write Fighter: Part 18

There was no sprint to the finish; he felt every arduous crank as he pulled into his driveway. The first chair he locked eyes with received his attention.

Getting back into any shape other than round was still a high priority, but Ayla distracted his thoughts by yanking open the fridge. 

“Hey.”

“Hey.”

“Can you give me a ride to the auto parts store?”

“Thirty-minutes?”

“Sure.”

The opportunity to get locked into a confined space with his daughter—even if it was just a ten-minute drive—gave him a second wind. 

Robert opened his laptop to send a few messages.
