The Write Fighter: Part 14

The hangover of someone sticking daggers into Robert’s passion project lingered—the first falling domino in a string of what only an outlandish Monday morning can deliver.  

Robert slammed his hands against the steering wheel, “Are you kidding me?” He noticed his daughter, Ayla, leaving for school, “Can you give me a ride?”

The answer was going to be no, regardless, but she mumbled something in return and never broke stride.

His manager, for some reason, had him in her crosshairs last week, so he didn’t want to start things off being late. He grabbed his bike and started pedaling.
