Some Prize In Prizefighting

On TV, they all look like stars,

Standing under a bright spotlight.

It seems easy, except the fight;

Muscles glisten, but not the scars.

Dreams of women, fame, and fast cars,

A fantasy, far from the truth;

Wins might cost some blood or a tooth.

The sacrifice will open eyes.

Makes you think: Is it worth the prize?

A sport that speaks to naive youth.
