Three Line Tale: To Protect and Be Protected

Rose walked through the door after her sparring session at the gym, soaked in sweaty clothes, hair without a direction in the world, and sore as ever.

An immediate observation she made was that her boyfriend was already cooking dinner, and the smells wafting from the kitchen welcomed her home before her boyfriend called out, “There’s a bath ready for your upstairs.”

As Rose slid into the warm, bubbly water, she was reminded of the benefit it was to possess a skillset that allowed her to protect herself, but it was equally wonderful to be cared for.
