The ref shouldn’t let this go on;
With cuts on his face and his eye,
More damage might mean he could die.
His vision through swelling is gone,
Much longer, he may not see dawn.
The crowd screams that it’s been enough,
But the ref must think he’s real tough.
When the round’s time comes to a close,
A doctor ends things cause it shows;
Now, his face is broken and rough.

I kind of picked out a prompt word for you this week. Wasn’t sure how you would use it, the cut, catching sight of a punch coming and blocking or dodging. Good one, as usual.
