It was rally day at the home of the lions.
After several football players received their year-end awards, the head coach called Leona the Lion, the school’s mascot, to the podium.
As the mascot’s head was being removed, the school’s media inched closer for a better view.
Underneath the suit was Amanda, an exchange student for the past two years from Brazil. She said she had a cold, though her thick accent made everything she pronounced a challenge to understand.
“My mother ees sick, and I must go.”
Her legacy was short-lived and greatly appreciated by the student body.
