Flash Fiction: A Fan’s First, and Last, Live Fight

Ben, a lifelong MMA fan, purchased tickets to his first event! The Big Show was bringing an action-packed card, and Ben couldn’t wait to fill the stands, even if all he could afford was a seat in the rafters.

Walking into the stadium, he gripped his ticket as if it were as precious as gold. 

While the co-main event resembled ants going to war, a pair of drunkards began shoving one another, which ignited a crowd-clearing brawl; Ben barely escaped the melee.

The next time The Big Show rolled into town, Ben was fine watching from home.
