Flash Fiction: Flip the Switch

“You gotta flip the switch! This isn’t a game!”

Coach barked anything and everything, attempting to spark a rage inTravis, who wore a combination of nerves and happy to be here on his face for his first amateur MMA contest.

Travis, at the age of nineteen, had plenty of piss and vinegar pumping through his veins, and several unfortunate souls had the shit kicked out of them as a result. Street fights and cage fights, however, were much different beasts. 

The ring announcer introduced both combatants to the crowd, and the referee was just about to signal the start.
